Arcade Cabinet F.A.Q.s – Answers To Most Arcade Machine Queries
Ordering Process:
At Bespoke Arcades, our main mission is to more than satisfy the needs and wants of our clients, to provide you all with that little bit extra. When ordering from us you will be guaranteed the highest level of service with an added personal touch to ensure you that you’re in the best of hands.
The process of ordering from us would generally start with an e-mail or brief telephone conversation to establish which cabinet you are looking to purchase and allow us to send/mail any information that you would like to receive.
We have premises in both Central and North London and would gladly invite any potential clients to test out the cabinets at their convenience. Alternatively, we have all of our cabinets on display in the basement of Harrods in London. We fully understand that it is not always possible to arrange a meeting in person, so are only too happy to discuss all the details over the telephone.
Once we have established your needs and wants together, we will provide you with a provisional invoice and any necessary payment details. From receipt of payment, we aim to have your cabinet ready, tested and delivered within 2-3 weeks (depending upon the options chosen this may be a shorter or longer period of time).
For our full Terms and Conditions, please see the terms tab on our information page.
Warranty:
All arcade machines for sale by Bespoke Arcades will be covered by an initial 90-day on-site warranty in the extremely unlikely event that something should go wrong in the first few weeks of purchase. This will be followed by an ensuing 9 month back-to-base hardware, parts and labour warranty, whereby the client is responsible for the cost and organisation of the safe return and collection of the cabinet (or pay a callout charge whichever is more cost effective to the client). We provide unlimited phone support for the life of the product.
The obligation of Bespoke Arcades under this warranty is to supply a replacement component or some form of credit against the purchase of such product in the event of a failure. The following items are covered for 1 year from the date the arcade cabinet was delivered: joysticks, micro switches, motherboard, memory, monitor, sound card, video card, hard-drive, DVD-RW drive, and buttons are covered. Keyboard and/or mouse must be dealt with under the manufacturers own warranty provided at time of purchase. No software issues are covered under this warranty.
Onsite service upgrades may be available, prices vary as to product and client location – please ask for further information. Any repair, service, or modification carried out on any arcade machine by the client, or any unauthorised third party during the warranty period may lead to the warranty being invalidated.
Refunds are given if you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item and we are not able to replace or repair the item for you, otherwise all sales are final.
Shipping:
We aim to have your cabinet ready and delivered within 2-3 weeks from the point of your order, depending upon the upgrades selected. Some options may extend the delivery time by up to 4 weeks – please ask for more details. Our assurances of delivery dates are made in good faith and are adhered to as well as feasibly possible, although no responsibility is accepted for circumstances beyond our control that may unfortunately arise.
Delivery dates are sometimes based around production runs and may very occasionally arrive some weeks later than the expected delivery date. We will do everything in our power to ensure that you are fully informed of all progress.
All arcade cabinets arrive on an extremely well-wrapped pallet delivery – we always recommend that clients have another able-bodied person with them to assist unpacking and placing the cabinet when accepting the delivery. A full 2 man delivery team is available, for those who require this service please ask for a quotation at time of purchase.
We can arrange shipping to anywhere in the world – please mail or call us on +44(0)207 935 9005 for a quotation.
Reliability:
At Bespoke Arcades, we only use branded parts from some of the best companies in the industry as we pride ourselves on providing all of our clients with only the pinnacle in high quality products. Our gaming front-end is best in category and allows access to all your media through the joystick.
For our controls, we only use industry standard Coin-Op parts from Suzo Happ Controls® with real and authentic micro switches (also Sanwa/Seimitsu). We use 8-way joysticks for all cabinets and the most reliable interface available.
All of our cabinets are EU registered designs and manufactured to the highest standard in the UK. Each order is individually made by our team of dedicated specialists who finish, assemble and test each product by hand to ensure that you will receive the highest quality, most enjoyable arcade experience possible.
A vast amount of research and development has gone into ensuring that each cabinet exceeds all expectations not only in terms of game play and functionality but also with regards to safety and reliability. All cabinets are CE and LVD certified to surpass all the required safety standards, are extensively tested for a minimum of 72 hours prior to delivery and include a patented arcade cabinet cooling system. To allow you to relax, comfortable in the knowledge that you’ve made the right choice of arcade cabinet, there is an excellent warranty service in the unlikely event that something should go wrong and someone is always on hand to answer any questions should they arise.
Games:
With all of our cabinets, we provide complementary licensed retro arcade games packs that include over 350 classic arcade games (please see games tab in the Arcades Machines section for full details).
All cabinets are also configured to be compatible with the arcade emulator MAME allowing access to a huge inventory of games. Once installed, this emulator may enable our clients to add any other arcade games that they may acquire to their system. The cabinets can very simply be made to play over 2000 original arcade games.
Arcade games that work with MAME are commonly known as ROMS. Similarly to MP3′s, not all ROM files are legal to download. We recommend using StarRoms.com (or similar sites) to ensure that the ROMs acquired are legally licensed. Our clients can rest assured that all the games that are provided with the cabinets are licensed for home usage.
All cabinets can also play a huge array of PC or Windows-based games. If you are having trouble finding game collections, simply send us an email and we’ll be only too happy to help.
