On October 27th gamers all over the world will be preparing to play the latest instalment to Nintendo’s staple series with Super Mario Odyssey. Returning to an open-world format for the first time since Super Mario Sunshine (2002), fans are eagerly awaiting to get their hands on Odyssey!

Star Fox 2 was originally developed for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System with a planned release for 1995. This Star Fox sequel followed Fox McCloud and his team in battle once again to defeat the evil Emperor Andross.
Metroid II: Samus Returns is a re-imagining (of sorts) of the Game Boy title – “Metroid II: The Return of Samus”. The game has been developed a lot like the recent Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy remakes, as they were both programmed from the building blocks of their original game with new features and improvements added at each stage.

Arguably one of the biggest franchises spawning from the NES era, the Castlevania series is one of the most beloved amongst the retro gaming community. Spanning across many media forms (games, comics, films etc), the intricate lore even includes Bram Stoker’s classic novel ‘Dracula’ in its extensive timeline.
More recently, the series will be taking the leap out of our video games consoles and onto our screens as Netflix’s ‘Castlevania’ series will be available from today. Created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the famous Crash Bandicoot, the N. Sane Trilogy will remake the first 3 games in the series (Crash Bandicoot, Cortex Strikes Back and Warped). Although Naughty Dog were the original developers of the trilogy, Sony and Activision are teaming up to create the remake.

With the Street Fighter series celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the successful franchise kicked off celebrations with the announcement of a brand new game.
