Super Mario Odyssey – All You Need to Know

On October 27th gamers all over the world will be preparing to play the latest instalment to Nintendo’s staple series with Super Mario Odyssey. Returning to an open-world format for the first time since Super Mario Sunshine (2002), fans are eagerly awaiting to get their hands on Odyssey!

Alike many of the Super Mario games, the plot follows Mario battling through worlds to save his beloved Princess Peach from the Evil Bowser (who now has plans to marry the Princess)! However, differing from the usual plot, Mario and Cappy must also save Cappy’s sister – Tiara. Continue reading

Metroid 2: Samus Returns – All You Need To Know

Metroid II: Samus Returns is a re-imagining (of sorts) of the Game Boy title – “Metroid II: The Return of Samus”. The game has been developed a lot like the recent Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy remakes, as they were both programmed from the building blocks of their original game with new features and improvements added at each stage.

Castlevania: From NES to Netflix

Arguably one of the biggest franchises spawning from the NES era, the Castlevania series is one of the most beloved amongst the retro gaming community. Spanning across many media forms (games, comics, films etc), the intricate lore even includes Bram Stoker’s classic novel ‘Dracula’ in its extensive timeline.

More recently, the series will be taking the leap out of our video games consoles and onto our screens as Netflix’s ‘Castlevania’ series will be available from today. Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

Created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the famous Crash Bandicoot, the N. Sane Trilogy will remake the first 3 games in the series (Crash Bandicoot, Cortex Strikes Back and Warped). Although Naughty Dog were the original developers of the trilogy, Sony and Activision are teaming up to create the remake.

Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers

With the Street Fighter series celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the successful franchise kicked off celebrations with the announcement of a brand new game. Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers (or USFII) takes the famous 1991 game (Street Fighter II: The World Warrior) and adds innovative game play to the series.
