The Eurogamer Expo 2013 Roundup

Eurogamer 2013 was bigger and better than before. Taking up the whole of Earl’s Court Exhibition Centre’s first and second floor. The exhibition opened its doors to the public on Thursday 26th September 2013 and closed at the end of the day on Sunday 29th of September 2013. We really enjoyed the exhibition and had a lot of interest in our brilliant arcade machines. Here is the roundup of the main key features of Eurogamer 2013.

Retro Arcade Area

Our retro arcade machine stand at Eurogamer 2013 was based in the Arcade Area. We brought our whole range of arcade machines including the Apex, Synergy, Evo and the brand new Nu-Gen! There were insane queues for people to get their hands on our arcade machines, with our Evo and Nu-Gen being the most popular. We even had a couple of people wanting to play Mortal Kombat 3 dressed up as Sub-Zero and Scorpion from the Mortal Kombat series (see Cosplay section below for pictures)!

PS4 and X-Box One

Eurogamer 2013 was home to Sony’s Playstation 4 and Micrsoft’s X-Box One next generation gaming consoles. The stands for Microsoft and Sony were pretty much side by side, and there were a plethora of people queueing up to get their hands on the control pads for the consoles for even a couple of minutes. There weren’t many games available to play on either console. The PS4 is launching this year on 29th November in Europe two weeks after the US launch, and X-Box One will launch on the 22nd November beating the PS4 by one week.

Other Gaming

Multiplay had a Minecraft area near the Retro Arcade Area and were holding a series of Minecraft hunger games and walls competitions. We shared some stand space with Replay Events who were letting people play retro consoles in their Retro Gaming Area, including a large selection of retro handheld consoles.

Some of the notable game titles that were playable at the Eurogamer Expo 2013 are:

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag

Call of Duty Ghosts

The Elder Scrolls Online

Fifa 2014

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII

Wolfenstein: The New Order

And more.

Gaming Cosplay Gallery

Below are a selection of some interesting cosplay characters round and about our stand. Including Spiderman, Blade, Predator, Sub-Zero, Scorpion and some interesting Ninja-like Spidermen playing loving our Nu-Gen Arcade Machine.

Look forward to seeing you next year at Eurogamer 2014

We had a brilliant time at the exhibition and received lots of positive feedback and applause for our arcade machines. And they withstood the button bashing and joystick yanking from the gamers of all ages, which is a testament to the quality of our arcade machines. If you would like to know more about our arcade machines then drop us a contact form, and we will be happy to assist you.
